I came across Sarah Silverman's heartwarming story of watching her Thanksgiving turkey get slaughtered. Her rendition was reminiscent of Dav Pilkey's children's book 'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving, in which a bus full of school children take a pre-holiday field trip to a turkey farm only to realize that turkey really doesn't come from styrofoam and plastic packaging.
