Kaia Yoga Complete Wellness Centers offer a variety of yoga styles and levels. Whether you are a beginner or advanced there is a class for you. Stan Woodman and Gina Norman, co-owners of Kaia Yoga in Westport and Greenwich,CT not only offer yoga classes but also a complete wellness spa. As if that isn’t awesome enough there is also a 100% organic café and juice bar.
Kaia Yoga Complete Wellness Centers provide a supervised playroom for parents to bring their kids as well as children’s classes from prenatal to postnatal up to teens. Their centers host internationally known teachers and authors that educate people in all areas of a healthy lifestyle.
Stan and Gina both have a passion for what they do. At 19, Stan began practicing due to asthma and a snowboarding injury. “It had numerous effects on my life and I feel blessed to have been encouraged to begin this amazing methodology at such a young age.”
Gina started practicing seventeen years ago in New York City and soon after she began teaching yoga. She says that since then she has studied yoga and Thai yoga therapy extensively. When asked if they had any inspiration for a beginner, both Stan and Gina chimed in, “Everyone can do yoga! Try different styles and teachers until you find the right one.”
Kaia classes average about 15-20 people. They are held Monday thru Sunday morning until evening for everyone’s convenience. Kaia Yoga prides itself not only on their class offerings but also on being a “green” center. All of their products are 100% organic, free from chemicals. I also learned that ingredients in the café are from local farms whenever possible and the waste is composted back to these farms. Stan and Gina said that “ these ‘green’ spaces in both Greenwich and Westport are built entirely of eco-friendly materials. From shelving constructed of plant stalks to straws made from corn—all of the supplies are recycled.”
I was also impressed to learn from them that no VOC paints were used in the centers and the wood came from certified organizations that care for our land and environment. “We only use GREEN cleaning products and currently are working with CT Clean Energy to get as many people as possible to switch to alternative electricity options.”
There are various types of yoga to fit all needs and desires. For a more relaxing style Gina and Stan recommend Kripalu, restorative, iyengar and yin yoga. For a more active practice try ashtanga or vinyasa yoga. Yoga has become a popular practice for many people today. From religious believers, spiritual believers, men and woman alike. Yoga has become a universal belief of peace, calm and centering yourself for benefits of a better tomorrow.
Gina and Stan explain the benefits of yoga and prove that it truly is for everyone. “Yoga brings union to our body, minds and souls.” They also return back to the importance of breathing and add that when you begin yoga your nervous system becomes balanced and positively influences all aspects of your health bringing greater flexibility, strength and happiness.
If you are a yoga lover, then Bravo! If you have been contemplating trying it, please do. As Gina and Stan informed us, there is a class for everyone. No judgment given, just beneficial love for yourself and life! Kaia Yoga Complete Wellness Centers are located in Westport and Greenwich. Check out their site and sign up for a class today!
Namaste.

Review the company’s history and look around for reviews on the products themselves before seriously considering anything.
