I think there should be more bike rentals available before such events. The more participants, the more fun.

The biking facilities around the UK are not as good as they should be. If they were better, I think there would be far less in the way of traffic congestion. The problem is that the cycle lanes only run so far on the roads, so people are really reluctant to use them.
